About me
My name is Gordon Ranger but I am also known among some communities as Gords.
I have recently completed a Bachelor of Game Development (Game Design) at SAE Institute in Sydney.
I have always been interested in video games and creating my own scenarios and gameplay. Back in high school I would play around in the Starcraft Broodwar Campaign Editor, creating my own missions and objectives to an original story. However, when I left school there were no courses that focused on game development, so I focused on my other interest, science, and studied physics at UNSW. After I heard that they now offer degrees that could teach me how to make games I jumped at the opportunity to get involved, and so here I am today.

When I started my game dev journey I had no coding knowledge at all, my only experience having looked at mod scripts of Factorio. I have learnt a lot and worked on several projects since then. Now that I am familiar with the Unity game engine and the C# programming language I am looking for opportunities to grow and expand my skills with this amazing media.
I have great interest in projects that challenge me and require me to think about level design and game mechanics that are both enjoyable and fresh for gamers of all demographics.

Interests
I am also an avid gamer and have been involved in many communities including the Super Smash Brothers competitive scene where I was a leading member in creating the brand and organising events for the Sydney Smash Community.
I have also done some speedrunning and streaming of video games on twitch.tv. Highlights include being involved in a Zelda speedrunning marathon for charities which I took place in for several years.
Apart from Gaming I enjoy rock'n'roll dancing, swimming and travelling. I have a keen interest in other cultures especially Japan.
