
Pulse is a short narrative game which explores the symptoms of anxiety, with puzzle elements which we created as part of a University project.
The creation of this game has been based on the foundation of our individual experiences with anxiety to varying degrees and the very dynamic and varied emotions and feelings which different people associate with it. Through this game we hope to allow for people to develop an understanding of the difference in perception of situations and environments between those who do and those who do not have anxiety, in order to create a more accepting and supportive environment for those with anxiety.

For this project I took on a game design role and was responsible for Level 3, the superstore. This involved everything from level design, puzzle mechanics and some asset creation. After designing the level I then constructed the scene and its systems using tools created by our lead programmer.
As part of this project I used Maya to model the maze component and then textured it in Unity. I learnt aspects of lighting, UV maps, textures, materials, height maps and normal maps for Unity and Maya.
