Outrun: Noir is a side scrolling vehicular shooter, marrying the memorable retro visual style of the 1980s with the timeless Noire gangster theme.
Players swap between lanes, kill enemies, acquire weapons, and pick up fellow Mafia members to ensure there escape and maximise their highscore.
This was a group project as part of a game production course. My role focused on game design and balance, primarily on the player mechanics. This included designing the pick ups and health systems including the mafia on the side of the road. I also balanced the game so it wasn't too easy or difficult.
